Honor will be bringing a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 flagship to the MWC

Does honor intend to be at Mobile World Congress where it will announce the launch of the Magic phone – perhaps the Honor Magic V Perhaps? The first folding phone from the company is among the most intriguing devices to have been unveiled recently.

Qualcomm’s Weibo account was able to announce that the device will run on the most powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. This is also the case with the V foldable device, however, it’s not a reason to omit the release of a brand new model that is a flagship.

Honor has a line of folding but not folding Magic phones. The most recent versions are Magic3 – the Magic3 trilogy was announced in August. They came with Snapdragon the 888 chipsets and also 888+. But a quick search of the rumor mill reveals no indication of sequels to these phones and that is why we’re back to the Magic V.

If it’s indeed the highlight of Honor’s MWC event It will need to compete against the P50 Pocket that was made by the former parent company Huawei that was recently made its debut in Europe at a cost of 1,600 euros. The Honor Magic V’s price starting at CNY 10,000 indicates that the price in euros is higher than that (the P50 Pocket’s price starts at CNY 9,999 from China).
